Bed Rest

So as of yesterday afternoon I am officially on bed rest for the remainder of my pregnancy with Andrew.  When I went to see Dr. R yesterday my bp was pretty high, 152/90 and then 148/89. So Dr. R suggested bed rest at home for now, but if my bp goes up any higher that the 152/90 I am to call in and he is most likely going to admit me. The other tricky part is that Dr.R is on vacation next week and I could he tell he was not keen on something happening while he is out and the truth is, neither am I!  I am very close to him and to his nurses and at this point I'm not prepared for much change. Next week they have me all lined up to see another Dr in the practice and her nurse called to check on me today (even though Dr.R and staff are still in the office) and just to let me know that they will be there for what ever I need next week. So that made me feel a LOT better!  Now to just entertain my self from the comfort of my bed for the next few weeks!  Wish me Luck!!

Thinking of you Amanda! Sounds like a pretty anxious time. I hope you've got lots of help around you so you can put your feet up and relax as much as you can xxx

Oh hiya. Am visiting from Sarah's Facebook page and just wanted to say hi and hope you find lots of fun things to do from bed. Personally I like to lie there and eat lots of cheezels (did that for a week on IVF), watch a few of my old fav movies (cinderella story and versions) and perhaps play on the laptop or play on the computer (bejeweled blitz gets a bit addictive). Or you could teach yourself some cool solitaire card games (I love clock patience). Maybe you could start a charity auction on Facebook for your fav. charity? Anyhow. Take care. I hope everything sails fine for you. Danielle Hanalla

Another visitor from Sarah's blog (it's ok, we all brought our own coffee...:D). I hope you can pass the boredom (BOOKS. Twitter. BLOG). I hope your BP stays down.

I'm sorry you're having such a rough time of it.

That baby is 40 on 6 Aug. So, about you..you do have a beautiful blog ..I love it. And I will subscribe. I am a Grandma who is retired from teaching and I live in NSW. Met Sarah twice now. She is so nice. I have 3 blogs...yep! 3.. I shall be back. Bye for now. ((hugs))

Visiting from Sarah's place too.

I can relate to this. I spent the last 3 months of my last pregnancy on bed rest. Everything was fine in the end but I am glad that I listened to the doctors advice. I suggest magazines, good books and bad TV. They helped to keep my mind off things. Try to relax but i know that is easier said than done.
